Cransley Foundation

The Cransley Foundation has been established to raise funds from a variety of sources for the benefit of Cransley School.

The aim of the Foundation is twofold:

Firstly, to support the development of Cransley School by providing a legacy which will ensure that first-class resources and facilities can be provided to underpin the education we provide, which will include Buildings and Equipment.

Secondly, to provide funds for assisted places at Cransley, for example as scholarships, bursaries or for assistance in cases of hardship.

We have a long-term strategy for the continued development of Cransley School and the Foundation is core to the realisation of this strategy. The Foundation operates under the Charitable status of Cransley School Ltd and is managed by a sub committee including two Governors, representatives of parents and independent advisors.

Why do we need a Foundation?

Unfortunately, fee income alone cannot fund the many challenges of providing a first class education in the independent sector. Currently, a large percentage of our fee income is expended on salaries and other day-to-day running expenses of the school. But what we want to do is to continue the improvement of our facilities and so invest in our pupils of today and tomorrow.

These are exciting times at Cransley. We continue to achieve excellent results. We are investing in a new junior school and have improved the facilities in the main school considerably over the past few years. We are determined to maintain this positive momentum. The work of the Foundation is fundamental to the continuing success of Cransley School. The Foundation will ensure the school can put in place the necessary facilities and resources as and when they are required.

There are many ways in which you can help:

A Simple Donation

Any donation you are able to make will be greatly appreciated and if you are a UK tax payer, please giftaid it.

A Regular Donation

You can arrange to make a regular Standing Order payment to the foundation. This can be monthly, quarterly or annually.

Payroll Giving

This is a simple means of giving money to charity. Simply ask your employer to make a regular donation on your behalf before calculating PAYE tax. Your payroll department should be able to provide you with a form to set up this method of donating. A donation of only £10 per month for a period of four years would produce an income for the Foundation of nearly £500.

Legacies

You may wish to leave a bequest to the Foundation in your Will – and all bequests made to charity are exempt from inheritance tax.

If you would like any further information on how to donate to the Foundation please contact the School office on 01606 891747 for more information.
